When the café closes at 4pm, the space keeps working. Venue 61 is our private function space — same building, same light, same sundeck — available to hire for intimate gatherings, birthdays, tea parties, workshops and quiet celebrations.

Why we do this

Every hire helps feed someone.

Cafe 61 partners with WeFeedSA, a non-profit focused on feeding and supporting unemployed South Africans. Proceeds from Venue 61 hires flow directly into that work. Ordering a coffee, sitting on the sundeck, hiring the space for your niece's birthday — it all adds up, and that's the whole idea.
